Don't forget to hydrate
Sometimes it’s hard to remember to drink plenty of water when it's cold outside. But drinking water in winter is just as important as it is in summer! Try having a glass of water with every meal to keep your skin hydrated and happy.
Watch your shower temperatures
We all know how freezing it is to get in and out of the shower in winter. However, it’s important to remember to avoid temperatures that are too hot, as this can dry out the skin, leaving it itchy and sensitive. You aren't cooking noodles when you shower 🤣
Sunscreen - not just for the summer
We may reach for the sunscreen during the warmer months, but sunscreen is just as important during winter to shield from those harmful UVs. Opt for a sunscreen with at least SPF 30.
Be careful with the cleansers and always moisturise
In winter, our skin stops producing as much sebum, so it’s important to give it a wee hand to maintain its natural moisture barrier. Foaming cleansers strip good oils away from your face. Try a non-foaming, cream or oil based cleanser, to help replenish your skin’s natural oils and use a good quality moisturiser twice daily.
