We use premium grade marine collagen. Marine collagen has up to 1.5 times more bioavailability than bovine or porcine collagen and our blend been hydrolysed for optimum absorption. This makes the Collagen have a small particle size and low molecular weight, so it passes through the intestinal wall and into the bloodstream more efficiently which makes it easier for the body to absorb.

Our Marine Collagen has been sustainably sourced (not farmed) and is a by-product of the fishing industry in France. We haven’t been able to find a quality NZ supplier producing hydrolysed marine collagen in a powder form – YET - if we do find a NZ supplier we would love to support local.

Our Collagen has added Vitamin C to help with absorption and stimulate your body’s collagen production. It contains the recommended RDI (recommended daily intake) of Vitamin C for an adult.

We have also added two powerful antioxidants (CoQ10 and Vitamin E) to fight cell damage from free radicals, reduce inflammation, keep the skin hydrated and promote collagen and elastin production to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

The end result is a fine powder is flavourless and easily added to any foods and drinks but we recommend mixing with coffee, yoghurt or smoothies or foods like soups, scrambled eggs or baking.

Pregnancy

Aglow Collagen is safe while you are trying to conceive, but we suggest once you know you are pregnant you stop and save your collagen for after the birth. Due to hypersensitivity during pregnancy, taking marine collagen supplements is not recommended as it can result in immune reactions (e.g. skin rashes and allergic reactions). However, it's great to start up again once breastfeeding. 

Immunity Super Greens contains Turmeric which should be avoided during pregnancy.

Breastfeeding

Aglow Collagen is safe to take while breastfeeding.

Collagen is a 100% natural protein and we have many customers who take Aglow Collagen + Antioxidants  whilst breastfeeding, and with the nutrient boost they find their:

• skin is more hydrated and firmer.
• nails are stronger with faster growth, after becoming brittle in the postpartum period.
• hair is healthy with growth replenished after hair loss in in the postpartum period.

Yes. All Aglow products are 100% dairy, egg, gluten and caffeine free. 

All Aglow products can be mixed with liquids or foods.

Aglow Collagen is hydrolysed marine collagen powder and is water soluble so it can be mixed in hot or cold drinks or food.  It does not dissolve as easily in cold liquids so we recommend mixing with a small amount of hot liquid first.  Our Collagen peptides are not damaged by heat in any way, so the effectiveness remains the same regardless of how you use the product.

Aglow Super Greens can be mixed in drinks and food and is a great way to sneak in those extra servings of vegetables every day, without that extra effort or chopping or grating the real things! However, we don’t recommend heating the powder as it would burn away those precious nutrients that freeze drying protected.

We have two types of packaging – jars and home compostable refill bags.

The packaging was chosen to minimise landfill waste as much as possible, so all the packaging is either re-usable, home-compostable or at the very least recyclable. 

For your first order with Aglow, select our air tight jars but don’t throw them away, for subsequent orders you can then just choose the home compostable bags to refill your jars.
